Born and raised in San Francisco, violinist Kenneth Renshaw came to international  attention in 2012 after winning First Prize in the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin  Competition and as a prize winner in the 2015 Queen Elisabeth Competition. He has  since performed extensively as soloist with orchestras worldwide, including the  National Orchestra of Belgium, the China Philharmonic, the Lithuanian National  Orchestra, and the Jenaer Philharmonie. As recitalist he has performed at the  Auditorium du Louvre, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festspiele, and the Menuhin  Festival Gstaad, among other notable European venues. As chamber musician he has  performed alongside many esteemed artists including pianist Leon Fleisher, violinists  Itzhak Perlman and Pamela Frank, and violist Kim Kashkashian atfestivals such as  Caramoor, Ravinia, and Music@Menlo.  

Equally committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of young musicians,  Kenneth currently serves as Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of Cincinnati  College-Conservatory of Music. He was previously Teaching Assistant to Itzhak  Perlman and Li Lin at the Juilliard School since 2018, where he received his Bachelors  and Masters degrees. His students (both privately and through institutions) have won  top prizes in many national and international competitions, and acceptances to major  conservatories and music festivals.
